Description

The Balun-4PHUB video transceiver / transmitter allows you to connect 4 coax BNC video signals from CCTV cameras to a signal that can be transmitted with a single Cat 5 RJ45 cable up to 1200 feet. Two transmitters are needed per installation. One attaches to the BNC video outputs of the security cameras and the other connects to the video inputs on the surveillance DVR or video recorder. RJ45 Cat-5 cable is attached between the two units. These units do not require a power source. Save time and money running one cat-5 cable instead of RG59. NOTE: this is a single unit - NOT a pair. VideoSecu Video Transceiver is a passive (non-amplified) device that allows the transmission of real-time monochrome or color video over Unshielded Twisted-Pair (UTP) telephone wire. Baseband (composite) signals of any type are supported. Video Balun enables the transmission of video using ordinary unshielded twisted pair (UTP) wire instead of coaxial cable. Cost effective and much easier for installation. UTP cable is less expensive then coax cable. Transmits a monochrome video signal up to 1,000 feet .Passive design provides immunity from noise and interference and does not require power supplies. Compatible with all "up-the-coax" systems to provide video and control over a single twisted pair. Purpose of the Video Balun is to allow traditional 75 ohm coax cable to be replaced by Category 5 (or better) twisted pair in the CCTV security and surveillance environment, thereby allowing CCTV camera and monitoring equipment to be deployed more cost-effectively using structured cabling techniques. These CCTV baluns also work over existing UTP cabling, making them perfect for use in nearly any building or across an entire campus. Video Balun allow video signals to co-exist in the same wire bundle as telephone, or low-voltage power circuits. This allows the use of a shared or existing cable plant. With built-in transient protection, damaging voltage spike problems are eliminated. Video Balun works with any analog based video equipment that supports NTSC, PAL or SECAM systems; CCTV cameras, video multiplexers, video switchers, monitors, scan converters, signal boosters.
