It was so cheap at thirty bucks I said why not. It arrived well packaged and a complete kit with a level and a separate bubble level attached, all the screws you would need for cement or wood. Easy to follow directions. Solid metal and has room for tweaking if you want to slide it left or right a bit on the wall, two screws that hold the tv to the bracket so it can't be lifted off by accident. Like others have said, it makes the tv look like a framed photo. Very nice. I installed a 55" led tv no problems.

A bargain at twice the price

I purchased this mount for a 46" LCD and am very happy with my choice. The minimalist design of the mount allows it to be light yet very sturdy. I mounted it to wood studs and found that the supplied wood screws, while adequate, weren't quite long enough for a paranoid person like me, so I used 3" 3/8 wood bolts and now I could hang my whole family on the mount with no trouble. Construction of the mount is easy and I found the instructions to be thorough whether mounting to wood/metal studs or masonry. If you have even a drop of mechanical skill you will be able to install this mount. You will need a drill and basic bit set to make pilot holes for the screws and preferably a stud finder (if you aren't quite sure where they're at) but other than that a basic tool set will be enough from start to finish. Lastly, I found the included little magnetic level to be very handy and it went straight into my toolbox when I was done. Once the TV was hung, adjustment of it's final location was easy before locking it down. When I'm ready to hang another TV I will definitely be getting another one of these.

It's easy to put up as long as you have a studfinder and a level. Easy to do and comes with a ton of different adapting pieces to mount the different tvs. Currently holding up a 50 inch tv and hasn't had any problems what so ever. Have owned for 10 months.

This mount is not only affordable but it is great! I was hesitant in buying it because I couldn't believe the low price tag compared to other wall mount prices that are in the $100-$200 range. The favorable reviews here though convinced me to try it out and I must say I am glad I did. Setting the wall mount up was very easy and while some have complained about the screws that are provided. The ones that I got are doing just fine so my guess is maybe they have improved the quality of the screws that they provide?However, as others have mentioned. Do NOT and I repeat do NOT use the built-in leveler when placing the mount on the wall.

I am very pleased with the purchase of this product. The wall mount is great for saving space as well as adding a modern touch to your home. I installed the mount in my bedroom and plan on purchasing a club chair to place in the corner of the room. The ability of the mount to pull out and swivel to angle at different positions is great for viewing TV from any location in the room.The price for this VideoSecu wall mount is great. At the time of purchase I bought it for $80 after seeing similar wall mounts priced at $200 in stores. I had a difficult time finding a mount that would match up with the mounting holes in my TV, but this mount has adjusting brackets that slide from side to side to match just about any large TV, so no adapter is required to attach the TV to the mount.The mount is sturdy... and HEAVY. I pride myself in my strength, but I had a very difficult time putting this up by myself, so just follow the installation instructions (unlike me) and have another set of hands when doing so. Also get a good stud finder (Zircon MultiScanner i320) and leveler (Ryobi AIRgrip Compact Laser Level) that you are comfortable with to ensure you drill your mounting screws in the proper location and your TV sits nice and even when finished. Although these items may add to the cost of the mount, if you don't have them, they are worthwhile items to invest it.Every night I climb into bed I enjoy watching my 37" TV from its location on my wall. I plan on installing wall mounts for all my TVs. I'm even considering selling my 60" DLP TV just so I can buy a smaller one to mount on my living room wall. Although i have never hung a tv before, I do know a good bit about construction and building things and this mount is great in my book. Im not gonna tell you what you can easliy read on the box but I will tell you this, I just hung my 42" flat screen with it and it holds like a champ. No big problems EXCEPT with the vagueness of the directions...I think this is just an error on my part being used to IKEA like directions that baby you through the whole process. So to those that may buy this mount or have already bought it the instructions are vague and it can be daunting to the first timer but if your like me you might overthink the process because installation is really WAY TOO EASY.1. find out where your studs are 2. level the mount on the wall where you want to hang it 3. drill your pilot holes 4. the package has a few different types of bolts and screws in it...but all you need are the 6 screws that are packaged alone to hang them to the wall, they come with drywall anchors but you wont need them if your going into the studs 5. attach the the two hanging racks to the tv with one of the many sets of bolts that you have been provided with (these bolts come together in one line seperated by size). 6. hang the tv on the mount by the racks and secure them with some bolts at the bottom.the directions cover all this but i just figured i would throw this in here because some were saying how hard they were to follow.GREAT MOUNT AND FOR THE PRICE IT IS A MUST BUY.

Well guys, I don't know if I can say enough nice things about my purchase. The package looked great, the mount was brand-spanking new and this all got to me in a very fast shipping pace. Hmmm...may buy a mount for my 37" TV from these guys (but at a discount of course). My only constructive criticism follows suit with the rest of the previous reviews which are the bolts are a liiiiitle cheap. However, PLEASE do not let that stop you from buying this product. Why pay $350 at some fancy electronic store when you can buy it here for around 20% of that price. Keep up the good work guys. So far so good on this end.

I should of checked the distance between my studs before i bought it but i didnt and they ended up being way too far apart so i couldnt use it. The overall build of this mount is very solid. Its made with very heavy metal. Just going to give it to my dad so he can use it. Only draw back is the screws it comes with seem very weak so i bought some extra lag screws from lowes. 30 cents each

I bought this to mount a 32" Panasonic Viera LCD on the wall in my bedroom. Perfect fit for the bolt pattern 200mm x 200mm. It included sets of (4) screws and lock washers in 3 different sizes plus a set of spacers to accommodate almost any flat screen. I had to use a set of the included screws, since the Viera does not come with any. Mounting the brackets was easy, but the screws were a little too long for the bottom 2 holes and bottomed out before becoming tight. I just added the larger lock washers from the set onto the screws for extra distance, and I was able to tighten them completely. I was mounting the set near the ceiling, so I just measured down from the ceiling how far I wanted the top of the set(leave at least 1 inch above set) and added the distance to the screw holes by setting the bracket on the back of set while it was face down. I did not use the level on the bracket, or the included level in the kit since I know that my ceiling is not totally level, and I was more concerned with the distance above the TV to look straight. I found the studs in the wall by using a stud finder, marked the centers, measured down from ceiling the total distance that I mentioned earlier, drilled 4 pilot holes with 3/16th drill bit, and screwed the lag screws with flat washers in using a ratchet. The bracket was not centered due to the stud locations, but was still not visible behind the TV.When setting the angle of the brackets, do it on the unit while face down BEFORE you try to hang it on the bracket. There is NO ROOM to do it after. If you have to modify the angle, you will have to take it down to adjust it. Also, when assembling the main wall bracket, look at the picture in the book. The short metal brackets are for the sides, and attach the upper and lower brackets into a square (the upper bracket has the level in it).WORD OF WARNING....DO NOT adjust the angle fully tilted, as the brackets will not clear the bottom bracket of the mount. It must clear it to tighten the lower securing screws from the bottom to prevent the hanging bracket(and your TV) from being knocked off the mount. You will need a pretty long screwdriver to reach the lower securing screws because of the limited distance behind the TV after mounting. Don't worry because the screws are very loose and only need to snug up against the mount to prevent it from falling off.The cheetah mount is a very heavy powder-coated black, is extremely strong and can handle much more weight that my 32" LCD. I would recommend Cheetah mounts over any other mount out there. It costs less, and is much more durable.

Hanger does not fit!

When I installed this unit, I first set the tilt angle to less than half the maximum and installed it OK. Then I wanted to set the angle to the maximum. But the hanger could not go in this time. The fit between the wall plate and the hanger is too tight!!! I had to use a file to remove quite a bit of metal for it to finally fit in. I am an expert machinist so it worked for me after the modification, but I expect the average user to have problems when this happens.This unit is mechanically robust. The retaining screws on the bottom of the unit are hard to get to. For a $30 unit including shipping, it is still a bargain.

Best Wall Mount Bang For Your Buck

A tilting wall mount under $30 is unheard of. But based on other reviews I've read, I saw no reason to doubt that this would do the job it was intended for.The first thing I noticed is that the mount is totally modular. I don't know if that plays into part of the cost difference, but every other wall mount I've ever installed (three prior to this one) has been a one-piece design. This one requires you to actually assemble the main section of the mount from four pieces. The finished, assembled product is square, sturdy and true. Overall gauge of the metal used seems adequate. Packaged hardware could have been better. Instead of including two molly bolts, a better selection of spacers (or short screws) would have been nice as the included screws for my set were far too long. I can't understand the need to include the two molly bolts since they're designed for hollow wall installations -- an installation you would not want your 60 pound flat panel supported by in any way.Aside from the minor hardware gripe, the pre-installed level bubble was split open and empty on my mount. Even if it were intact, I'd still have a hard time trusting it to be completely accurate. Invest some money in a good 2' AND 4' level as these are tools that every home owner, DIY-type should have around the house. And although the included plastic torpedo level is a nice gesture, I would again encourage the use of a good quality 2' level.The finished, installed mount is very solid. The only problem I ran into was turning the tilt lock-downs with the mount on the wall. There isn't enough clearance to spin them in complete rotations to make them tight. This somewhat defeats the purpose of a tilting mount if you have to take it off the wall to adjust the tilt. I tried various degrees of tightness before mounting so that I could still adjust the angle while being able to crank the adjusters down tight with it on the wall. I had no luck whatsoever. Either it was too tight or too loose. I had to mark the position with a pencil and then tighten it off the wall.Bottom line: despite some minor design gripes, this is still the best wall mount money can buy. I intend to buy another Cheetah mount for my 50" plasma.

This mount required a little too much assembly for me. The money I saved was spent on the extra time need to get the mount ready for the wall. Would not go larger than a 37" LCD as weight is a concern, I wouldn't try a plasma. It worked.

Excellent product for the price!

I had been looking for a full motion mounting bracket for a few months. I looked at Best Buy and other local stores to get an idea on what was going to be needed to hang my Panasonic Plasma 42" on the wall. Amazon had this item for $80. compared to the lowest price I could find was $250.. This bracket has several adjustments that can be made to level the TV. Other reviews said that there were issues with leveling the TV. With the ability to adjust the brackets, I have the TV perfectly level. The only complaint that I have is the swing arm is very stiff. I have to pull pretty hard to move the TV around. I am afraid to grab on to the TV and move it. I would probably take the brackets being hard to move versus the TV constantly drifting from loose brackets. I am very pleased with this product and if mounted right I think it could almost hold my entire weight of 195 lbs. Excellent product for the money!!

Easy and had everything I needed for mounting

This mount is strong. I hung on it before I attached the TV (I weigh 150lb).I can angle it so I could see it from my front or back yard if I wanted to.The box literally had everything I needed (and probably anything anybody would need) to hang it. It included a variety of fasteners for mounting to the wall and for mounting it to your TV. The Mount has a great system for adapting to wall stud spacing and TV size and to perfectly level and center the TV and also included a variety of allen wrenches so you can make those adjustments.The only thing non-steller is that once mounted to the wall, the mount protrudes from the wall about 5" so that with my 54" TV attached the whole thing sticks out about 9".One recommendation: after you hang the mount on the wall, oil all the joints before you hang the TV. This will make it easier to move the TV once hung.

So I've had my LCD HDTV for about 3 years, and despite my protests and training, my house cat loves to touch the screen. So it has gotten quite dirty over the last few years, and it was especially noticeable when the TV was off. So I bought this cleaner, and man what a difference it makes! Was skeptical as some others to order this. Figured I would try it for the price though. It is exactly as most other reviewers explained it. Hooked up our Samsung 50" plasma to it. Had all of the hardware needed, and a lot more. Easy enough to install and it is sturdy!Just order it! You will not be disappointed! A great value for the price! I would recommend it to friends!

I'd be lying if I didn't say I was skeptical when purchasing this mount. At $19, compared to $70+ for comparable mounts from other manufacturers, you have to wonder what the catch is.But, for less than $20, it would be crazy not to give it a shot. I ordered two of them - one for a 32" Panasonic LCD HDTV and the other for my 50" Panasonic Plasma HDTV. I must say, I'm delightfully surprised. The mount it utterly simple to construct, comes with an integrated bubble-level, a plethora of different bolts for mounting whatever TV you may own, and seems to be of good build quality. I'm sure there are beefier mounts out there with uranium bracing or some other over the top thing to drive up the price - but these do the trick. I have no doubts this mount will hold both my TVs without a problem.I've gotta say - this is one of those rare instances where you get more than you pay for. Don't hesitate one moment because of the price.

Plasma TV Wall Mount

I used the item to mount a 32" LCD TV. The mount was more that adequate to support the unit and tilt to the angle for best viewing. Wish I have looked a little harder for one that would tilt and swivel left and right.

I bought this mount for my Sony 40 inch. The construction is nice and sturdy. The tilt works great. The hardware is all great except for one thing... and it's a biggie... The 2in1 washer that is provided with the mount does not fit in between the wall bracket grooves. The washer was too big by 1/8 inch. I had to cut the washers with a grinder. If you have a hack saw that will work too.

Description

This is a very substantial mount with Dual arms and heavy guage steel. The arms extend over 20" from the wall yet fold to less than 5". Even at full extension, this mount has very little sag or twist. It is rated for up to 165lbs and most displays 55" and smaller weigh under 100lbs. The unit has dual tilt adjustment knobs and it will tilt forward or back 15 degrees. The wall plate is 19" wide and has wide slots making it easy to mount into standard 16" studs even if they are not exactly 16" apart. Thus, the arms may be visible on the sides of 32" units. The universal design will fit any display with a hole pattern up to 26.3" wide and 18" tall. The wall plate is 1/8" thick and very stable and includes a large center hole for cable pass-though into the wall. This mount will swivel approximately 150 degrees depending on the size of your display. Dual TV locking screws are included to prevent accidental liftoff of the display. Installation instructions and hardware included.

Great mount! Pros: Bought it to install a 40" tv, but meanwhile had upgraded to a 60" Sony led lcd tv (don't ask, long story). The mount handles the bigger tv without any problems.Was very easy to install (and I'm a complete newbie DIYer) contrary to what some of the reviews here say.Heavy and sturdy.Cons: If you're in the US, good luck finding a drill bit that fits the 13mm lag bolts provided. You'd be better off getting new lag bolts from home depot of the same size or using a plain ol' wrench.Bolts weren't labeled correctly per the instructions. Instructions said that part A should be lag bolts, but the actual plastic bag for lag bolts was labeled part B. Minor quibble.

This piece of equipment could arguably be used to mount a screen larger than 55" if fastened to wall studs. I have a 55" Sony Bravia mounted to the one I purchased and its solid construction and durability assure me that I will never have to worry about the TV falling off the wall. A fine piece of equipment and the Price is much better than those available at the store. I would recommend this brand and product to anyone looking to mount a flat screen!

This is a great design and easy to install. I was impressed overall, both with how fast it came and how easily I had my 43" plasma upon on the wall and viewable. As an added bonus, I swivel the TV over to face my laptop, plug in, and have plenty of extra desktop space when we're not watching movies.

i have been ordering from Amazon.com online for nearly 10 years and never been disapointed in their product, pricing, or service. The shipping is fast. The quality is great. I like the cable management design. All the cables are neatly managed. My 55 inch Panasonic weighs 125lb and I had worried about the weight. But now I am sure that's not a problem. This mount tilts both up and down. Now the TV looks great above the fireplace.

I purchased two of these mounts, one to hang a 42" Toshiba LCD high above a chest-of-drawers in the bedroom, the other to hang a 55" Samsung half-way up the wall. In the pictures above, the 55" is now hanging where the 42" is shown. I've had these mounts installed now for eight months, and they are not sagging or unstable in any way. In the basement, the flexibility of the TV helps when we want to watch a movie and sit at our downstairs table, which is off to one side. In the bedroom, the TV can be turned, pulled out or moved in easily to suit any need.

I purchased 2 wall mounts at the same time....this one along with a Hercules wall mount. This is OK, I needed to go to hardware store to get better screws. The Hercules was far better quality and I would stick with that one!

This is exactly what I was looking for! I'm a little concerned however, that there is nothing on the bottom of the bracket to secure the tv. You have to be careful turning the tv around.

I got this Tv mount a few days ago, I installed it yesterday and it looks pretty nice! my wife was worry about how it was going to look at the end, but once installed, we love it. I have a 52 in Samsung TV on it and it fits great. Use your own level system, the Built-in bubble level did not work for me... even with this "little" problem I give a 5 stars since the price, functionality and look it's great! Pros: Very solid, great look, well manufactured, great price Cons: Not very easy to install and the Built-in bubble level did not work for me...

Like everyone else I found the hardware quality wasnt acceptable and the bolts to mount the brackets onto the television were either too long or too short. However for a few dollars and a trip to the hardware store that problem was easily fixed. The mount itself is sturdy to say the least, easily installed (I did the complete install by myself without any problems), and well worth the price compared to similar mounts I found locally that were over double the price. Moves with little effort and the range of motion is greater than what I was expecting, very satisfied with the product.

love this wall mount

I had been searching for a wall mount for a while now. After readying all of the reviews i purchased this mount and could not be happier. At first i was a little concerned because it is very very heavy and I was mounting it on an interior wall. I can not comment about the ease/difficulty of installation because I had my super install it for me. My beams were not 16 inch apart so he mounted it to a larger beam behind the wall which he installed. I think the super also used different nails to install it because there were a lot of left over nails in the box. Once installed it is very easy to swivel and turn. It is in excellent condition and am vey happy with the puchase. Very easy to tilt and rotate. I would 100% suggest purchasing as long as you can have someone mount it for you as it is VERY heavy.
