Pci Wireless Adapters

One last question about wireless PCI adapter ... Please, just take a look?

Oki ... so Basically, I want fast internet at my new desk. I read about the different types of PCI wireless adapters, the g / b / n on the thing at the end but I want to know if it really has much effect on my speed Internet access. I will be using the computer for games, so I'd like a fairly rapid and constant speed, but in between my desktop and the router is not think it is pretty flat (The router is in the kitchen) willl i get the same results for different types of wireless adapter PCI, or should I purchase one specific for best results. O / / Is that more or less the same, and much cheaper to buy a wireless adapter USB? any help is greatly! thanks! Thanks in advance!

The B / G / N question concerns the speed of your internal network. That means speed between the more computers you may have connected to your router. Internet speed is not affected by the router either wired or wireless. This is controlled by the ISP and what to pay for the service. The router type N G may be better than to get through a wall, but still can be killed completely by brick, metal heating ducks, etc. Also, if the router is G, and buy a N adapter makes is not good. Both need to be N. Also, if you do not buy the band of "double" routers N if a device on your network G is then the network operates at speeds G. The only question that can help you get through walls and floors is the antenna. The antennas are valued in decibels (dB). 3-5 db is poor. 7-9 db is very good and solved this problem for me

For convenience, wireless networking is the answer. Which Wireless Standard Is Right for Me? Now that you've decided to create a wireless network, the next step is to figure out which wireless standard to use. Basically, a standard is a set of specifications for a device. All devices that follow a specific standard share operating characteristics, such as the radio frequency used and maximum data transfer speed. For wireless networking, there are three standards to choose from at this time: 802.11b 802.11a 802.11g To learn about the differences between the standards and select the right one for your network, click here for an easy-to-understand chart.

Description

The Ultra RangePlus Wireless-N PCI Adapter with Dual-Band adds wireless connectivity to your desktop computer. Install it into an available slot in your computer, and enjoy great high-speed wireless network access without running wires. The Wireless-N PCI Adapter uses the very latest wireless networking technology, Wireless-N (draft 802.11n). By overlaying the signals of multiple radios for each band, Wireless-N's "Multiple In, Multiple Out" (MIMO) technology is designed to multiply the effective data rate. Unlike ordinary wireless networking technologies that are confused by signal reflections, MIMO actually uses these reflections to increase the range and reduce "dead spots" in the wireless coverage area. The robust signal travels farther, maintaining wireless connections much farther than standard Wireless-G.

Features

  • High-speed Wireless-N networking for your desktop PCs
  • Wireless-N technology uses multiple radios per band to create robust signals for greater range and speed, with reduced dead spots
  • Operates in the 2.4 and 5GHz radio bands -- choose the one with least congestion in your area
  • Also connects to Wireless-G, -B, and -A networks
