Up for sale is a brand new RF video sender for the UHF band. This is NOT a TV transmitter, and it CAN NOT transmit on its own without the help of a UHF A/V RF modulator. Here's another approach to wireless A/V distribution. Instead of taking the separate Audio and Video signals or taking SCART output and wirelessly transmitting them on UHF or 2.4 GHz bands, this unit takes the output of the UHF RF modulator that is already built-in in many satellite receivers and VCRs, amplifies it, and injects it into a small whip antenna. The result is a wireless transmission of the A/V signal that you would receive on any regular TV in your house with the help of an indoor antenna. This is a linear RF amplifier with an 18 dB (x 63 times) gain in RF power. It is useable on the range of 550 MHz to 638 MHz or UHF channels 31-41 in Europe, 27-41 in the USA.The advantages of this unit are: - It can amplify all analog systems (all variations of PAL/SECAM/NTSC) - It will operate anywhere in the world with supplied adapter, or any 6VDC to 12VDC.The disadvantages of this unit are: - It has low amplification outside the 550-638 MHz frequency range; amplification will progressively decrease as you go higher or lower, with almost no amplification at the higher and lower ends of the UHF band and none on the VHF band. - It has LIMITED transmitting range, but enough to cover a small apartment or city flat, but please don't expect too much from it.The max amplification will be on 591MHz (UHF 36 in Europe, 34 in USA) To have maximize range, you may need to peak output by choosing the best channel to operate depending on your RF modulator, because most RF modulators put out highest RF level at the middle of their channels range.
